Our
Cut-to-Length (CTL) system (as shown above) is a modern
Timberjack 1270 harvester, which offers efficient falling and
processing at the stump. Teamed with our harvester is the 1210
Forwarder. This system delivers clean, merchandised wood to the
roadside.

Because delimbing
and bucking are carried out directly ahead of the harvester,
both harvester and forwarder travel on a ground-protecting
mat of discarded limbs and tops.

Nutrients are left
on the forest floor rather than on the roadside.

Clean logs are
loaded and carried to roadside by the forwarder which can
off load either to the ground or directly onto highway
trailers.

Both machines are
controlled by highly automated computers, which have an on
board printer that shows the species, number and volume of
stem harvested, and much more.

Orgill Inc. to Acquire Certain Assets of
Wright & Wilhelmy Co.
MEMPHIS – Ron Beal, President and CEO
of Orgill, Inc. has announced that Orgill has signed a Letter of
Intent to acquire certain assets of Wright & Wilhelmy, a 131
year old wholesale hardware distributor based in Omaha, NE. The
addition of the Wright & Wilhelmy sales force and customer base
is expected to significantly increase Orgill’s penetration into
the states of Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, North Dakota, and South
Dakota. Beal stated that the transaction is expected to be
completed before the end of March, 2006.
According to Orgill Executive Vice President
and CFO, Byrne Whitehead, Orgill intends to offer Orgill’s
complete product assortment and service offerings to Wright &
Wilhelmy’s customers immediately. Whitehead further stated that
the existing Wright & Wilhelmy distribution center will operate
as an Orgill redistribution branch supplied by Orgill’s Memphis
distribution center.
